Amapô: Printing the World
AMAPÔ was created in 2004 when Carolina Gold and Pitty Taliani decided to join creative forces making what would be AMAPÔ’s first collection.
The line started selling to boutiques all over Brazil and very soon a buzz was created about the brand’s exclusive and exquisite prints, bold colors and innovative style.
In April 2005 AMAPÔ started showing the collections at The Amni Hot Spot, an important fashion event organized by Paulo Borges from Sao Paulo Fashion Week, to promote emerging talent. In their first show AMAPÔ was said to be by far the most creative and intriguing designers on the Brazilian fashion scene. Since then, AMAPÔ has been changing the face of fashion, getting excellent reviews and setting a new level in the Brazilian fashion market.
In January 2008, AMAPÔ became part of the most important fashion event in Latin America and one of the most important in the world, Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
Ever since, their shows – much to the pleasure of the audience and the Brazilian fashion media – are always a big event, engaging an active discourse on contemporary art and fashion.
The clothes are aimed and target a new generation, and the market is global. The collections are sold in Brazil, Japan, USA, Italy and Dubai.
Their unique styles and prints make their creations a favorite worn by many actors, trend setters, bands and musicians such as Justice, Beiruth, M.I.A., Diplo and The Killers to name a few.
Gold and Taliani have applied their talent and creativity in successful partnerships with companies like FIAT, O Boticario and Surface to Air Brazil. With ability to merge fashion forecasting with advertising, they can create and develop designs, products, prints and multi media merchandising.
Their ideas and products reach a wide audience and foster appreciation and creative progression of design.AMAPÔ: Printing the world!!!
